This handmade banana fiber Baobab Tree has a garland with familiar African colors....red, gold, green and black. Great for Kwanzaa or to keep out year round. Wool felt balls are handmade in Nepal. A few glass, stone or vintage beads will be added to match garland.
The Baobab Tree is the tree of life in Africa, providing water, fruit and shade. Elephants use the bark of the tree for water during their migrations. Because of the severe droughts in Africa recently some of the thousand year old baobabs have been dying- as the elephants take too much bark and the tree is unable to recover.
