Soapstone is a metamorphic talc/schist rock. It has a heavy weight. Sanded smooth and then carved and painted by skilled artisans.

Tabaka Chigware Community Group mines the soapstone, carves and dyes each animal by hand. Fair Trade.
Large -Appx three inches long and tail top to bottom three inches, and weighs about 8 ounces. About 2 inches wide.
Small- Two inches long and tall. About 1 1/2 inch wide. See photos to compare.
Patterns are unique to each whale. If there is a preference for design let me know in personalization.
