This hand carved Lion shows the imagination of a seasoned African soapstone artist. With its sweet heart- shaped face this lion looks more like a pet than a wild beast. Wonderful teacher or grad gift.
Create a family group of three or four lions the same color or choose different colors for Mother's or Father's Day.
Use as party favors next to place settings and guests take home. Recommend ages four and up.
2-3 inches tall. A few of the lions are closer to two inches. Note if you have a preference in personalization for a smaller lion for a family grouping. Sun fades dye.

Kenyan hand carved soapstone animals: Artisans mine the metamorphic rock(talc, schist) carve and then sand smooth the surface and dye with beautiful non-toxic dye colors. Tabaka Chigware community group uses money for food and education in their community. Fair Trade item.
