These Kenyan hand carved soapstone birds look peaceful alone or in a grouping on a shelf.

Natural colors include white soapstone, while others show gray streaks, or pink patterns, and brown spots. I can send photos of available birds so that you can choose an exact style.
All natural color-no dyes. Artisans mine the metamorphic rock(talc, schist) carve and then sand smooth the surface. Community self-help group uses money for food and education in their community. Fair Trade item.
